HCM CITY — The inaugural Vietnam PMU’s Best Idol Awards has been launched in HCM City to honour talented PMU (permanent makeup) artists and develop a professional and supportive PMU community.
Speaking at the launching event on August 28, communications consultant Lê Bá Hải Siêu, deputy head of the organising board, said the awards will feature the Top 100 PMU’s Best Idol and the Top 100 PMU’s Best Salon.
Winners of the Top 100 PMU’s Best Idol and Top 100 PMU’s Best Salon will have a chance to attend specialised training courses, networking events with masters in the industry and enjoy special benefits of PMU members, he said.
Model Phan Như Thảo, head of the organising board, said the awards will provide a platform for PMU artists in Việt Nam to showcase their talent, experience and passion.
PMU salons will be chosen based on service prices and their commitment to providing the best quality of service to their clients, she said.
The Vietnam PMU’s Best Idol Awards is organised by New Beauty Global (NBEGO).
Members of the jury include masters in the PMU industry such as Thư Nguyễn, Diễm Nguyễn, Linh Thúy Diễm, Hải Phạm, designer Đỗ Long, and actress Kim Tuyến.
The awards announcement event kick-started a series of events under the Vietnam PMU’s Best Idol programme, including workshops and training courses on skills and management as well as networking events with more than 1,000 professionals, salon owners, entrepreneurs and celebrities, and an awards ceremony.
The programme seeks to develop a professional PMU community and inspire the PMU industry towards new heights of professionalism, Thảo said. —VNS
